"There is many a war-horse who is more entitled to immortality than the man who rides him."
-- General Robert E. Lee

RUFUS EQUUS BELLATOR, (Red) is an 18 year old, 15h Morab. He spent the first 15 years of his life as a pasture ornament in the green hills of West Virginia. When Capt Scott discovered him, he decided that Red could do more than spend his days eating daisies and introduced him to reenacting. Red never looked back and has excelled in the hobby, first in the ranks and then leading the ranks as the Captain’s mount. He’s cool under fire and gets along well with other horses, an ideal war horse.

PRIDE'S BIG MAC (Budster) is a 16 year old, 16.1 registered Tennessee Walker ridden by Trooper M. Drewry.  Budster started his Cavalry career at Fort Bragg, NC in 2001 and was quickly mustered into the 2nd US Cavalry, Company A, that year. He has been with the unit since that time and continues to be a stalwart mount.

COCO is a 16 year old, 14.2 Morab mare, half-sister to Red. Like Red, she spent more than a decade as a pasture pet before being introduced to cavalry reenacting. Calm under fire and quiet in the ranks, she has become an exceptional cavalry horse.

YANKEE is a 15 year old, 16.2 Tennessee Walking Horse gelding.

GLORY is a 19 year old, 15.1 Tennessee Walker mare.
