Sailor’s Creek Battlefield Historical State Park in Amelia County, Virginia will host a living history day on Saturday April 9 from 10-5pm. The day’s events include a Confederate Infantry demonstration at 10:30, a Federal Cavalry demonstration (featuring the 2nd US, CO. A) at 11:30, and a Federal Infantry demonstration at 1:00. The Hillsman house (used as a field hospital during the battle) will also be open with various activities and tours. Re-enactor camps will also be open for guests to meet infantry soldiers, cavalry troopers and cavalry horses.
